The cross body bag has been building up steam all year within women’s fashion circles and now it is THE MUST HAVE bag for the Autumn/Winter season. It has become the fashion elite’s first choice accessory and for good reason – every woman knows that the right purse or bag can make and break an outfit subtly. However, on a long day’s shopping trip or those times when it seems like you are non-stop, it becomes an effort to carry even the smallest bag unless you are built like Madonna – and no-one wants those body builder arms/shoulders do they?!

This cross body style has always been present with the whole Bohemian trend, where fashionista’s used to rock the large over the shoulder bags to go with their floaty dresses and headbands. This year though it is all about the glamour and chic with compact small cross body bags which are perfect for throwing on and then not causing you pain for the rest of the day! They are so comfy in fact that I like to think of them more as part of your outfit that you WEAR rather than just an accessory.

So we all need to invest in one of these great little accessories this year. We recommend getting a great leather option in a smaller size, because it will look amazing and serve you well all Autumn/Winter without giving you the feeling that your shoulder is about to drop off! How about matching a beautiful red dress with great black statement heels, belt and black cross body bag for this year’s hottest colour combination.

Leighton Meester has become one of my favourite characters on TV playing the scheming Blair Waldorf and now she has become one of me favourite fashionista’s in the young Hollywood circle. Recently at the Teen Choice awards she wore the outfit above which I just fell in love with. When I went looking around recently I saw a great selection of nautical dresses which are right on trend and would work just as well in summer as they would through Autumn and Winter.

Black and reds combined are going to be huge in the new season, so Leighton pulls it off perfectly by matching a bold striped dress with black statement clutch and beautiful red heels. This whole outfit just coordinates so well and it is a really sophisticated but totally sexy look for a night out. I think that pairing patent accessories with this outfit would add a bit extra, and if it is cold you could always add the on trend blazer over the top.

Women's Military Clothing Trend

The women's military Fashion Trend is going to be massive once again this Autumn/Winter so it's time I give your Military preview. They key to the whole look is the military jacket and this is going to be your MAJOR winter fashion statement. So think big shiny metal buttons and shoulder epaulettes to really frame your body shape and plant you firmly within the trend. I would stick to the dark monotone colours like black, navy grey and even red for some of that old Napoleon regiment feel.

The catwalks were full of military items this year with Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, YMC, Mentor and Burberry all featuring the trend prominently during their previews. Add a bit of runway glamour to your military look by teaming up a military jacket with jeans or a jersey dresses and knee high boots. Looks great as an "edgier" look, and the whole trend gives off a really powerfull attitude and vibe. The Fashion A-List has really got on board with this with everyone Kate Moss to Alexa Chung to Sienna Miller rocking this hot trend (see above).

What I love about military is that you do not need to go over board... The military jacket is such a statement piece that you can mix and match trends like Grecian and Military or Rock Glam and Military together. In the picture above Mischa rocks a beautiful Grecian dress with a statement military jacket to create a look which is right on trend and has a really powerful presence. A great example how to make this work.

Alexander Wand Body Con - Celeb Fav

I have seen this gorgeous Alexandar Wang dress on every celebrity recently, proving that it is one of the sophisticated hits of the Fashion World. As we said last week, Body Cons are totally hot right now and look amazing in the summer weather we have been having recently. What sets this body con apart from the rest is that it incorporates colour blocking, which is again right on trend, and the colours just mix so well. The bright blues really sit well against the black, and because it is slimming, means you can pull off the clingy style.

All the socialites have been seen in it, from Sophia Bush to Linsay Lohan to Diane Kruger. It’s perfect for a hot summers day, but can be dressed up easily for wearing well into the night. Wear it with some leggings at night and a nice clutch or leather bag, and in the day it wears itself with some gladiator sandals for very little effort!

Women's Fashion Trend - Treggins!

Yes, I have a new trend for Autumn which will only gather momentum as the weather gets colder. Treggings are named as such because they are basically a cross between traditional leggings and trousers! Sounds weird!? Well, they are right on trend and look great when dressed up correctly. What makes them a cross is the fact that the trousers are super skinny and normally have an elasticated waist like traditional leggings – Although the fit is cut slightly more along the natural leg line as well instead of just clinging to every part of your body.

These treggings are great because they are bang on the skinny fit trend but are also so warm and comfortable for the new season. I have showcased below a collection of brand new release Treggings as well as a great way to dress up a plain black pair perfectly. As you can see in the main image, these are a massive hit with the Hollywood Starlets and L.A. crowd.

I have featured some great black versions which are a great place to start for those that are less confident in their own body. Plus it is a timeless colour that looks great with anything you throw on with it. Remember that Black IS the new Black this year. I have also included some versions with sequins, zips and even a gold colourway – so get a pair today!

How to Rock the Treggins

I recommend wearing treggings with an oversized top and leg lengthening heels. The nude heels below are perfect for adding length to your look, and especially great for shorter leg lengths. The other items below will make a really simple statement outfit that can’t help to get you noticed. Right on the power dressing trend too.

New Fashion Trend - Futuristic Clothing

Well it seems that the second big trend to emerge for the Autumn/Winter season is back from the future… yes that’s right, this season we will all be rocking the high shine and metallic colours, but with more 80’s inspired cuts and fits. So think of exaggerated shoulder details, with great shape and structure to all your outfits. Just because I'm throwing back to the 80’s doesn’t mean this look has not be brought into the present with sequin detailing, studs, exposed zips and of course the all important metallics which are going to be massive. A truly fashion forward take on an original classic trend.

This future trend was massive on all the cat walk previews this year so I knew it was going to be hot, and couldn’t wait to get our hands on the items that sparkle! With fashionista’s like Kate Moss, Taylor Momsen and the totally crazy Lady Gaga getting on board early, it is time to pick up the essential pieces early. My favourites are the brilliant new range of silver and blue metallic shine dresses which will totally catch any one’s eye – dress them up with some simple black statement heels and clutch to really pull off a chic night time look.

Silver accessories are also a great way of giving a subtle nod to the trend if you do not want to go all out sequins. Metallic purses can also be had so do not neglect your accessories this Autumn/Winter, they can really enhance a look and turn a good outfit into a GREAT one.

Steal Her Style - Mary-Kate Olsen

This week, I have a new steal her style for you: Mary-Kate Olsen. In case you didn't know, she is fashionable one which doesn't normally look as pale as a vampire! She is know for a very unique and outlandish sense of style, which to be honest doesn't always hit the mark - but when she pulls it off and doesn't try too hard she looks super super cute! As the pictures above will testify.

I have found 2 of her best recent outfits that are completely on trend and look perfect for Special Occasions in Autumn/Winter. In the photos above, she rocks the playsuit and body con dress perfectly on 2 separate occasions. These are both THE massive hits of the summer along with the clutch purse and gladiators. Hot pink and black together is such a perfect combination, and really contrast well in both outfits. I LOVE it!

Women's Investment Coat - What to Look For

Now that I'm rapidly moving into the new season, it is the perfect time to invest in a beautiful new coat. This is one of my favourite times of the year, because there is nothing more satisfying than buying yourself a great new coat that will form the basis of all your outfits for the whole season. It can transform a look in an instant and make an outfit go from good to great.

There are many different varieties on the market at the moment, and I think all the designers have released some of their best pieces to date. Today I'm going to feature the premium high fashion pieces from designers like: YMC, Alexander McQueen, Pringle, Acne, See by Chloe, Farhi and Paul Smith. It is called an investment coat for a reason – namely you pay for the quality that you get. If you are willing to splash out, you can pick up a coat that is timeless and has the quality construction to last through multiple years and seasons. These will never go out of style, and seem to transcend trends. If you are looking for a jacket that will last you years, then stick with the blacks and greys which are colours that NEVER go out of style. Each time you break it out of your wardrobe, it will feel like brand new, and you just KNOW it will work with whatever you feel like wearing that day.

Here are some top tips to look out for when shopping for an investment coat:

Steal Her Style: Elle MacPherson

Elle MacPherson is one of my biggest role models. We all want to steal her style!

This post I made is inspired by Elle MacPherson as you can see below:

Can anyone in the world believe that Elle Macpherson is 46 years old?!?!? She always looks AMAZING and she has been that way since she was know as “the body” back in the 90’s. She has graced the cover of the illustrious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a ridiculous 5 times, and is worth an estimated $60 million! Definitely a style icon and someone all women should look up to in terms of business savvy as well.

Today I'm going to take some of this amazing style and steal it for ourselves. Elle can afford all the designer clothes she could ever want, but we love how she stays down to earth and rocks a mix of high street and designer to create a fab look. In the main image above you can see a great look Elle rocked whilst in London and it is perfect for the rest of this season and right into Autumn/Winter.

The plaid or checked shirt should again be massive within women’s fashion this Autumn/Winter, and I have seen some great new releases already. The way Elle wears it open suggests a casual look, but the shirt itself really adds some sharpness to the overall feel. Add some true glam with nice fitted skinny jeans and the statement black over the shoulder bag. Quality cowboy boots are a must as it keeps the whole Western vibe going and also adds some glamour. Turn your jeans up slightly to really show off these gorgeous boots below! Finish with the graphic tee layered underneath the shirt and a nice oversized pair of sunglasses to give you that model/actress aura.
